If you are looking to give your home or business a new look, you may be considering installing a new floor. There are many different types of flooring materials available, and it can be difficult to decide which one is right for you. In this blog post, we will compare metallic epoxy floors and flake floors. We will discuss the pros and cons of each type of flooring, and help you decide which one is right for you.

Metallic epoxy floors are a type of flooring that is made from epoxy resin and metallic pigment. The metallic pigment is mixed with the epoxy and gives the floor a metallic appearance. Metallic epoxy floors with the right topcoat, are scratch resistant and easy to clean. Perfect for any showroom, garage office, basemttt, and more! They are also slip-resistant and fire-resistant. One downside of metallic epoxy floors is that they can be more expensive than other types of flooring and do require a bit more technique to install the floor the proper way.

Flake floors are a type of flooring that is made from epoxy resin and flake (or fleck) chips. The flake chips can be made from various materials, such as vinyl. Flake floors are slip-resistant and easy to clean. There are different types of broadcasts you can have for a flake for. For example, you can have a medium broadcast where the flakes cover about 50% of the floor and the epoxy base coat is still visible. The other option is a full broadcast where the flakes cover the entire floor until you cannot see the epoxy anymore.
